Wait Time
First 10 minutes are free, 50¢ per minute thereafter.
Cargo
$5.00 additional for file box or larger. There is an additional 5¢ per lb. for anything over 10 lbs. Packages requiring a trailer ask for a quote and availability.
Additional Stops
Same building $1.00 per stop. Wrong building counts as an additional Pace run.
Round Trips
Round trips are billed as two runs.
Overtime
Overtime begins at 4:30 pm. M-F. All runs after 4:30 pm, M-F are billed at one and a half the rate.
Runs called in for 7:00 pm - 7:00 am, M-F, as well as runs called in on major Federal Holidays and/or on weekends will be billed on double time.

Mike hails from the west coast, but that's not his fault (kidding). He ended up in Chicago and started in the business as a biker in the year 2000. His personality and intelligence got him noticed at a previous company, and he was brought in to dispatch and to keep the office running smoothly. The call of the wild started ringing and Mike had to answer. He got out of the office and back on the bike where he belongs. Not only is he a gentleman but a scholar as well. He holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Mike has served as the chair person for the Windy City Bike Messenger Association. His co-workers, previous dispatchers, and the messenger community all recognize him for his speed, reliability, and friendliness. We all love him for his honesty, really hot bikes, and "beautiful" singing/dancing ability.
Josh is a superstar. He entered the messenger industry in 2002 and easily stood out from his peers. Whether it's his blond afro, slick riding abilities, his handiwork as a sculptor/painter, or his blond afro he remains on the cutting edge. Did we mention his blonde afro? He cuts through traffic like a hot knife through butter and does things on a track bike that many just dream of. He can also paint pictures with his words. He can tell you stories at the local "watering-hole" that are funny, scary or dramatic that will leave you wanting to know more. And within seconds of meeting him for the first time, you'll swear you've known him for years. He can be found riding bikes all week and "wrenching" bikes all weekend at a local shop. He is a dedicated courier, an urban philosopher, and a fine man. A fine man with mad skills and a blond afro.
Rene is "the Ninja" of the collective. Now you see him, now you don't! He was born in Montreal, Canada but it's Chicago he calls home now and forever. He began in the messenger field in 1995 as a bicycle courier (sure he's old, but he wears it very well). Rene was recognized for his skills and was brought inside to answer phones and handle customer relations at a previous company. Rene's extensive knowledge of the city and suburbs soon had him dispatching both the cars and bikes at the same time! Rene has been involved in organizing messenger nights at a fine local establishment, helped with benefit shows put together by messenger bands, and donates his time and support to the bike messenger culture. He has a degree in education, is well traveled. And I'm charming and funny...I mean he is.
Jeff is the youngest member of 4 Star. He has been on the streets as a bicycle courier since the spring of 2005. Jeff welcomes the workload anxiously and proudly. What he lacks in years is easily made up for in speed, dedication and heart. Very quick on and off the bike, he can get the job done in zero time flat and have time to spare. Jeff is so dedicated that he will bike whatever distance at whatever time in any weather. He's quick to give out hugs and will give you the shirt off his back. Just ask him for it. Although he might come across as courteous and personable, don't let his pleasantries fool you, he's an animal on the bike. Being a vibrant presence on these streets since day one, Jeff is the co-founder and President of the newest up-and-coming messenger cycling team being unleashed for the 2008 season.
Augie is another import from the west coast. He started in this industry in 2000. Many are not aware that he can be credited for being the first skateboard messenger ever. Yes. Ever. He is also a national celebrity after honing his skills all over the United States in cities like Minneapolis and Portland. The man has finally settled and calls Chicago home. He has his hands in almost every standout messenger event, charity, organization, etc. And as much as he spreads his own time and efforts he is the easiest going, most laid back guy. In addition to fighting traffic, Augie has been fighting for better conditions for Chicago's couriers. Amidst striving to make a difference for those working in this community, Augie is a major presence in organizing the world's greatest event, the NACCC (North American Cycling Courier Championships).
Mike G is the newest addition to 4 Star, but is not new to the business. He has been an icon in the industry since starting out in 1999 and showing rookies and some veteran messengers how it's done. His work ethic is unmatched and skills on and off the bike are off the charts. Mike has several years experience as top dog at many companies in Chicago. It's a safe bet you don't know the back of your hand as well as he knows these buildings and streets. Don't be fooled, he just makes it look that easy. Not only can he be considered one of the best messengers but one of the best guys in general. Sincere and considerate, he'll be quick to learn your name and interested in your story. Mike G. is also the life of the party where ever he goes. Many have confused Paul Newman for Mike G., but it's easy to see why. Be sure to wish him congratulations, he and his lovely wife, Kathleen just had a son, Luke!! Born June 17, 2008!!
